Custom Vermont Flyrods

Handcrafted, hardwood handles

As odd as it may seem to find fly rods on a deer-styled food plot site, here they are.  These fly rods are set apart from all others by their hardwood handles.  Handcrafted from native Vermont hardwoods (like cherry, oak, ash and maple) these handles add natural beauty to any rod, and can truly compliment matching reel seats, thread and eyelets.

Handles are finished with linseed oil for a smooth, soft feel that allows you to fish comfortably all day (no blisters!).  These rods work very well for medium sized fish like trout or bass.  There are currently four rods remaining for respectable grabs:

Rod #1:  Length: 6' 6", 3wt.  This Gloomis, matte blue rod blank has a birdseye maple handle with walnut on center, to match a rosewood and gold reel seat.  The gold eyelets are wrapped with deep purple thread and trimmed with gold (top rod in photo above).  $185.00

Rod #2:  Length: 7' 1", 3wt.  This dark burgundy (Fenwick) rod blank is accented with a birdseye maple, walnut and cherry handle that meets a curly maple and nickel silver reel seat.  The silver eyelets are wrapped with green thread and trimmed with purple.  This is a beautiful rod with a feel to match.  $175.00

Rod #3:  Length:  8' 7", 5/6wt.  This rod comes with a chestnut brown rod blank and a birdseye maple and walnut handle.  Its gold eyelets are wrapped with burgundy thread and trimmed with gold to match the rosewood and gold reel seat (this is the bottom rod in the above photo).  This rod looks incredible in the colors of the outdoors.  $165.00

Rod #4:  Length: 8' 7", 5/6wt.  Similar to the above rod, this one also has a chestnut brown blank, though its handle is composed of cherry, oak and walnut.  It too has a rosewood and gold reel seat and gold eyelets, but has chocolate thread and is trimmed with gold.  $165.00
